The startup India initiative was launched on 16 January 2016 which is an initiative of the department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. Its major objective was to support Entrepreneurs, building a Ro bust start-up ecosystem and transforming India into a country of JOB CREATORS instead of JOB SEEKERS.
The day is marked to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and promote achievements of Indian startups. It is also commemorated to provide a platform for startup entrepreneurs to discuss innovation for India's youth and their contribution to the economy.
The event provides a platform for startup business owners to connect with investors, mentors, and other entrepreneurs, and to share their ideas and experiences.
It's not just about having a great idea or product, it's also about having the drive and passion to see it through to fruition.
The motive behind encouraging the idea of entrepreneurship is to give a boost to schemes like Make-in-India.
